A Fnac rule, from start to finish
You sell a pair of headphones at €249.00 including VAT, they cost you €170 excluding VAT, and you are third on fnac.es; Fnac itself comes first, at €239.99. Your rule says “first place with a minimum margin of 12%”, with the margin calculated on the selling price excluding VAT (21% in Spain).
Boardfy works out that at €239.98 you move to first place and keep a 14.3% margin, so it changes your price on Fnac through its API and, if you want, in your shop or your ERP too. To keep this example simple, we only subtract the product cost; Boardfy also subtracts the marketplace commission, payment processing costs and any other attributable costs, all excluding tax. If Fnac dropped to €229 tomorrow, Boardfy would not go below €233.75, your minimum price. This is how Boardfy’s dynamic pricing works on Fnac.
