What First-Mover technology shows you

To understand your channel, you need to know where each price drop started and how it spread.

Who and when

Identify which distributor started each price change

Boardfy records who changed the price of each product and when it was detected, then compares it with the rest of your distributors. You see which distributor took the first step and who followed.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most about First-Mover technology

What is First-Mover technology?

It's a Boardfy feature for brands that detects which distributor changes the price of each product first and when, and who follows. You see at which distributor each drop begins and how it spreads.

How accurate is the timing of each change?

The time is when Boardfy's tracking detects the change; tracking runs 24 hours a day with a maximum delay of 6 hours. That's enough to see which distributor moved earlier and how the change spread, but it doesn't give the exact minute each distributor changed its price.

Do I also need distributor monitoring?

First-Mover is an add-on to the brand plans, and those plans already include distributor monitoring: you don't have to buy it separately. If you also want to follow your MSRP across the whole channel, there's MSRP monitoring.

Can I use it to make my distributors stick to the MSRP?

No. The MSRP is a suggested retail price and each distributor sets its own price freely. First-Mover helps you understand where drops begin and bring data to your conversations with your network.

Who gets the First-Mover alerts?

Your key account managers (KAMs). You set rules and they get an email each time a new price move matches them.

Which channels does it work on?

On your distributors' direct websites and on marketplaces and comparison sites, in 32 countries. On marketplaces and comparison sites, Boardfy automatically detects, with no limit, the distributors selling at least one of your products; on direct websites you choose which distributors to follow, with an optional matching service. See the list of channels.

What does it cost, and can I try it for free?

First-Mover is an add-on to the brand plans, billed monthly per channel and country: on direct websites it costs €49 to €129, and on marketplaces and comparison sites €199 to €389, depending on tier. Brand plans start at €199 a month on marketplaces, or €39.50 plus €34.50 per distributor on direct websites, no long-term contract; with annual billing you pay 10 months out of 12. You can try Boardfy free for 7 days, no card required. See the brand plans.
