How competition works on the Sprinter marketplace
Sprinter is a chain of sports shops that sells online in Spain and Portugal and runs its own marketplace. On the same product page for trainers, sportswear or sports equipment, Sprinter and external sellers can both sell, each at its own price.
The Sprinter marketplace runs on Mirakl. Boardfy connects to your seller account through its API and downloads your catalogue. Every 6 hours it checks Sprinter’s offer and every seller’s, with or without delivery costs. Every 30 minutes it applies your rules and changes your prices directly on Sprinter. If you wish, the same change can also be sent to your shop or ERP.

Monitoring
Sprinter or a seller: who has the best price
For each product, Boardfy shows you all its Sprinter offers sorted by price: Sprinter’s own offer, if there is one, and the marketplace sellers’, with your position.
So you know, product by product, whether you are up against the chain itself or another seller. It is Boardfy’s competitor monitoring applied to Sprinter.
Pricing intelligence
Spain and Portugal, each with its own competition
If you sell on sprinter.es and sprinter.pt, Boardfy shows you the same product on both: how many offers there are, which is the cheapest and where you rank on each.
So you can see where it pays to adjust and where it doesn’t.
Price history
How Sprinter moves its prices each season
Boardfy keeps a price history, so you can follow, week by week, Sprinter’s price, the price of each competing seller and your own. In the example, Sprinter cut the shoes from €109.99 to €79.99 in the sales and today sells them at €89.99.
In sport, prices drop at the end of every season: the history helps you decide whether to follow a markdown or wait.

Dynamic pricing
A Sprinter rule, from start to finish
You sell a pair of trail running shoes at €99.99 including VAT, they cost you €55 excluding VAT, and the cheapest offer is Sprinter’s own, at €89.99; yours is third. Your rule says “best price with a minimum margin of 15%”, with the margin calculated on the selling price excluding VAT (21% in Spain).
Boardfy works out that at €89.98 you have the best price and keep a 26.0% margin, so it changes your price on Sprinter through the Mirakl API. To keep this example simple, we only subtract the product cost; Boardfy also subtracts the marketplace commission, payment processing costs and any other attributable costs, all excluding tax. If Sprinter dropped to €74.99 in the sales tomorrow, Boardfy would not go below €78.30, your minimum price. This is how Boardfy’s dynamic pricing works on Sprinter.

Seasons, sales and margin
When to lower and when to raise your price on Sprinter
On Sprinter you compete with the chain itself and with its marketplace sellers, and seasonal sales move every price. These are the most common situations and what Boardfy does in each one according to your rules.
| Situation | What Boardfy does | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sprinter has the best price and you are less than 12% above it | Lowers your price until you have the best price, if your margin allows | You become the cheapest offer on the product page |
| Following Sprinter’s sale price would take you below your minimum margin | Stays at your minimum price | You don’t drop below your margin to follow a sale |
| You have the best price and 2nd place is 6% dearer | Raises the price to just below 2nd place | You keep the best price and win back margin |
| You have the best price in Portugal and are 3rd in Spain | Adjusts each country to its own competition | Each country has its own offers |
| Only you sell the product | Raises the price according to your rule | With no competition, there is no need to give away margin |
